"Washable Kimono, Embroidered Komon, Kabuki Pattern, Whitish Tan, Photocatalytic Deodorizing" is an all-over embroidered komon kimono finished by skilled dyeing and embroidery artisans in Kyoto. The fabric is Kuraray's photocatalytic deodorizing fabric "Shine Up" (100% polyester), and it can be washed at home. Even where the smell of tobacco or perspiration is a concern, you can wear it from everyday outings to more formal occasions.

Q. Can I wash it at home?
A. Yes. It is an easy-care 100% polyester material. Please follow the care label when washing.
Q. Does the deodorizing effect wear off with washing?
A. No. The deodorant is kneaded into the material, so the performance is maintained through repeated washing. Please note that we do not apply waterproof or water-repellent finishes, in order to get the most out of the deodorizing effect.
Q. Will the area around the embroidery wrinkle?
A. Due to the nature of embroidery, slight wrinkles may appear around the embroidered areas. Thank you for your understanding.
Q. Can I buy it as an uncut bolt of fabric?
A. Yes. Choose "No tailoring" to receive it as a bolt (tanmono). If you would like it tailored, you can choose lined (awase) or unlined (hitoe) sewing in Japan.

- Standard sizes are available in Types 1 to 8 (examples: Type 1 length 153 cm / sleeve-and-shoulder length (yuki) 64 cm; Type 3 length 163 cm / yuki 68 cm; Type 5 length 173 cm / yuki 72 cm).
- If Types 1 to 8 do not fit, we can make it to your measurements at the same tailoring price (+JPY 500). Please enter your height, hip, and yuki in the comment field when ordering.
- The dourai lining of a lined kimono is white. For the hakkake color, you can leave it to us or enter your preferred color in the comment field.
Delivery time
- Bolt (no tailoring): usually arrives in about 10 days after your order or payment confirmation.
- Tailoring: processing takes about 1.5 months (it may take longer around the New Year and Obon holidays).
Shipping
- Shipping within Japan is free for orders totaling JPY 30,000 or more per order. This item qualifies on its own.
- For orders under JPY 30,000: Kinki JPY 880, Hokkaido and Okinawa JPY 1,650, other areas JPY 1,100 (tax included).
- We ship via Japan Post, and you can specify a delivery time slot.
Payment
Bank or Japan Post Bank transfer, credit card (SSL-encrypted), and PayPal. In-store pickup is also available.
Returns and exchanges
Please contact us within one week of arrival, before sending the item back. If the return is due to our error, we cover the shipping and handling fees. If it is for your convenience, you also bear the bank transfer fee.
