Fabric Features and Care
The fabric uses Shine Up technology, developed using a special deodorizing agent. It combines adsorption and photocatalytic reactions to help reduce unpleasant odors.
The deodorizing agent is incorporated into the fibers, helping the material retain its deodorizing performance through repeated washing. The polyester fabric also offers a soft, silk-like feel, an attractive sheen, antistatic treatment, and wrinkle resistance.
To make the most of its photocatalytic deodorizing function, the fabric does not have a water-repellent or waterproof finish.
Please follow the product's care instructions when washing the kimono at home.
Fabric and Tailoring Options
You can purchase the fabric unstitched or choose Japanese domestic tailoring.
- Kimono tailoring: Lined (awase) or unlined (hitoe), with standard size options from Type 1 to Type 8
- Haori tailoring: Lined (awase) or unlined (hitoe), with standard size options from Type 1 to Type 5
- Custom sizing: Available to accommodate individual measurements
A lined kimono is generally suited to cooler seasons, while an unlined kimono is designed for warmer weather.
For custom sizing, please provide your height and yuki measurement (the distance from the center back of the neck to the wrist, measured along the shoulder and arm).
The usual tailoring period is approximately one and a half months. An express hand-sewing service may be available in approximately three weeks for an additional fee.
Please note: Slight puckering may occur around the embroidery due to the nature of the embroidery process. The actual color may also differ slightly from the images depending on your monitor or device settings.
