This is a washable women's komon kimono in pink, with a sweets pattern embroidered in the Japanese embroidery style. It is made with Kuraray's photocatalytic fabric "Shine-Up" (100% polyester), which adsorbs and breaks down odors from sweat, tobacco smoke, pets, spoiled food and more. With an obi and accessories of your choice, it can be worn from tea ceremonies and other formal occasions to parties and everyday outings.

■ Embroidery and Color

Skilled craftspeople in Kyoto embroider the pattern with thread colors chosen to match the base color. The plain-dyed fabric and Japanese embroidery give an elegant finish.

■ About the Deodorizing Function
- The fabric contains a metal-containing ceramic deodorant developed jointly by Kuraray and Takeda Pharmaceutical.
- The deodorant is kneaded into the fiber at the raw-material stage, so the performance continues even after repeated washing.
- Two actions, "chemical adsorption" and "photocatalytic reaction", adsorb and break down odor molecules.
- It works on a wide range of odors, including tobacco, sweat, pets and spoiled food.
- No waterproof or water-repellent finish is applied, so that the deodorizing effect works at its best.

■ Features as a Polyester Fabric
Soft, silk-like texture, a lustrous finish, little color fading or yellowing, and resistance to wrinkles (good for travel). The fabric is antistatic-treated and can be cared for at home.

Processing time: about 1 month (it may take longer around the New Year and Obon holidays)
Tailoring fees include the lining fabric. For a lined kimono, the body lining (doura) is white; the hem lining (hakkake) and shoulder lining (kataura) are chosen by us in a plain or gradient fabric. If you have a preference, please write it in the comment box when ordering.

■ Sizes
Kimono are available in sizes 1 to 8, and haori in sizes 1 to 4. (* Keep the existing standard measurement table here as it is.)
If none of the sizes fits, please choose "custom size" and write your height, hip and sleeve length (yuki) in the comment box.

■ Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I buy only the fabric?
A. Yes. Please choose "No tailoring" in the tailoring options.

Q. Does the deodorizing function weaken after repeated washing?
A. The deodorant is kneaded into the fiber, so the performance continues even after repeated washing.

Q. Can I wear it for kyudo (Japanese archery)?
A. Yes. We can adjust the sleeve opening (sodetsuke) and other details for kyudo. For the collar shift (kurikoshi), please choose "No shift (kyudo standard)". The sleeve opening is usually about 38 cm; please tell us if you have a preference.

Q. Are an obi and accessories included?
A. No. The kimono is sold alone.

Q. Is the color the same as in the photos?
A. Colors may differ slightly from the photos (on mobile phones they tend to look more yellow).
