Among "Tango Chirimen," Japan's traditional textile boasting the highest quality, "Mikoshi Chirimen" is besonders celebrated for its unique, beautiful play of light and shadow, and its moist, luxurious weight.
This is an all-inclusive full-order package: a generous 14.4-meter long bolt of white silk fabric (Tanmono) will be hand-dyed by artisans in "your favorite color" (plain solid dyeing) and then custom-tailored to "your exact measurements" by skilled kimono tailors.
With a wide fabric width of 41 cm (1 shaku 8 bun) to accommodate longer sleeve lengths (Yuki), those with larger builds or longer arms can have their kimono tailored with complete peace of mind. Why not create your own high-quality, personalized "Iromuji" (solid-color kimono) that will accompany you through all of life's formal and semi-formal occasions, such as tea ceremonies, entrance/graduation ceremonies, Shichi-Go-San, and weddings?
