This summer washable kimono, known as komon, is suitable for various casual Japanese occasions in the summer. It is recommended for when you have become somewhat accustomed to wearing kimono or when yukata no longer feels sufficient. Additionally, it uses a convenient washable material suitable for summer kimonos.Originally, Tanabata seems to have been written as 'tanabata' or 'tana-hata,' and it is one of the Obon events where the spirit shelf and its flags are set up on the evening of the 7th. This is why it is pronounced 'Tanabata' when written as '七夕,' which is related to the legend of Tanabata and the Tana-hime.
